Weeping legs do not usually happen suddenly. There are often symptoms or warning signs that our body has already sent us that may have gone unchecked, leading to weeping legs. It usually starts with some level of swelling or edema, which can occur anywhere in the body but is most common in the arms and legs. This could start as tired, heavy legs, puffiness of the tissue right under the skin, stretched "tight" skin, or skin that looks pitted or holds a dimple after it has been pressed for a few seconds. (mayoclinic.org/edema) Most of these symptoms are also common, but just because they happen commonly does not mean they are normal.
There are many reasons why someone would wear compression socks. To better understand why, we need to understand what they are and how they work.
Compression socks go by many names. You may have heard someone refer to them as medical socks, surgical stockings, support stockings, or even travel socks. While each of these references to compression socks would be used in a different situation, they are all referring to the category of compression socks or stockings.
So why can’t I just buy a pair of compression socks off the shelf at a local retail location?
Well, you can, but there is always a "but".
There is much more to selecting the right pair of compression socks for yourself or your loved one than simply walking into a local retail location and picking a pair off the shelf. While this might be perfectly safe for some, it is not for many.
Eight warning signs of Vein Disease:
Tired, heavy-feeling legs
Leg pain or discomfort from prolonged sitting or standing
Swollen ankles at night
Varicose veins or spider veins
Tingling, numbness or cramping in legs and feet
Discolouration of the skin in legs and/or feet
Open sores or ulcers on lower legs
Family history of vein problems
Did anything on this list surprise you? It's likely that someone in your immediate circle of family and friends has experienced at least one of these symptoms at some point in their life. As we age and our bodies change, it's inevitable that we would experience one or more of these things.

“When I met you originally I was so skeptical. I had tried so many different compression garments over the last few years but I wasn't seeing the results I had hoped for or needed. You introduced me to the CircAid wraps which were exactly what my legs needed. Not only were they comfortable but we started to see the results we needed in order for my legs to reduce in size and begin healing my skin. Thank you doesn't seem to be enough. Thank you for sharing your expertise and giving me hope”.
“As a medical compression sock client for the past 15 years, I wanted to express my true gratitude for you and your business. Your knowledge and experience is very needed in this industry. I have met so many fitters in my journey of compression and working with your expertise has been a true blessing. I love your kindness and attention to detail, right down to doctor connections and invoicing. Incredibly helpful that you are mobile. I will continue to refer you to anyone in need of medical compression socks, stockings, CircAid wraps and compression supports. You are truly the best, Mrs. T”
